Education
Charitable gifts through Mercy Foundation help fund education programs and services that empower children and adults to reach their full potential.

Known as “the school that works,” Cristo Rey High School Sacramento offers students with limited economic resources a rigorous college-preparatory education combined with a unique Work-Study program—working with partner employers throughout the area, students learn professional work skills while generating income to offset the cost of their education.

Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Center Auburn in the Sierra Nevada foothills offers individuals and non-profits a retreat and conference space for contemplative dialogue and learning. Gifts from Mercy Foundation donors enables the Sisters of Mercy to offer use of the center on a sliding payment scale for low-budget community groups. Visit mercycenter.org for more information.
