Mercy Foundation offers employees yet another way to show their compassion through the Employees Lend a Hand (ELAH) program. ELAH empowers employees to make a difference in the lives of countless people in our community who need health care, education, housing or other support services to survive. Donations fund critical Dignity Health programs and services that otherwise would not be available to those in need.

Payroll Deduction
Choose any amount ($5 minimum) for a one-time or recurring gift.
PTO Donation
If you have a minimum of 80 hours of accrued PTO, you can choose to make a one-time or recurring PTO donation.
- Donations can be made in 1-hour increments and are converted to cash.
- PTO donations are subject to all applicable payroll taxes and will be reported as wages on your W-2 form in the calendar year in which the donation was made.
- The maximum PTO deduction per pay period is 12 hours. If a one-time PTO donation exceeds this limit, the remaining balance will be deducted in subsequent pay periods until the full donation amount is met.
